Eszter grew up in Hungary and studied social work at the University of Pécs, Illyés Gyula, Faculty of Education. Since 2004 Eszter has been working at the association I.S.I. in Upper Austria first at the youth center and as a mobile youth worker since 2007. She is currently enrolled in the Master program “Addiction and violence prevention in educational fields” in Linz. Besides working on her master thesis, she is employee in the project "Europe in 2038". She is interested in young people in particular in outreach, mobile youth work as well as addiction and violence prevention in adolescence. She is interested to access hard to reach target groups, in low-threshold social work, salutogenesis, drug-consumer skills and lifestyles of young people.

Dagmar Strohmeier

FH-Prof. PD Dr. Dagmar Strohmeier is Professor for Intercultural Competence at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Linz. She received a PhD (2006) the venia legendi in Psychology (2014) from the University of Vienna. She studies peer relations in children and youth with a cross-cultural and cross-national perspective and a special focus on immigrant youth. She has developed, implemented and evaluated a program to foster social and intercultural competencies in schools (ViSC program). Her outstanding research was awarded by the Federal State Upper Austria (2015), the University of Applied Sciences (2011), and the Bank Austria Main Award for the Support of Innovative Research (2009). Her teaching was awarded by the Main Award for the Supervision of the Best Master Thesis in Child Centered Education from the Köck Stiftung in 2010.

Hanna Steiner (*1997) successfully finished the music gymnasium with the university entrance exam ("Matura") in June 2016. Before Hanna will start studying at university, she is doing a five month internship within the Europe 2038 project. Her main responsibility in the project is to conduct workshops in schools to discuss the results of the PAN European survey with same aged adolescents. Because Hanna’s goal is to get first hand experiences in the country where her mother was born, she also gives workshops in Romanian schools thereby helping the Romanian team.

Prof. Dr. Detlef Urhahne is an educational psychologist. He did his PhD in science education at the Leibniz-Institute for Science Education in Kiel. Prof. Urhahne worked for ten years at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich where he received his habilitation. After a short stay at the Martin-Luther-University of Halle-Wittenberg, where he founded a center for gifted children, Prof. Urhahne went to the University of Passau. He is working there with teacher education students and as the leader of the center of key competencies. His main research interests are in the areas of motivation, learning and instruction, science education, diagnostics and evaluation.

She is a psychologist, received a degree in Philosophy from the Catholic University in 1998, and a degree in Psychology from the University of Pavia in 2003. Her main research interests include the associations between school-bullying and moral emotions and moral disengagement. Rosario Ortega-Ruiz is professor (full professor) of Psychology at the University of Cordoba (Spain) and visiting professor at the University of Greenwich (UK). She is the principal investigator of the Laboratory for Convivencia Studies and Prevention of Violence (www.uco.es/laecovi). She obtained a Dir. Master and PhD in Applied Psychology. She has developed a long history of research in interpersonal relationships, children’s play, psychology aggressiveness: school violence and bullying, cyberbullying and dating violence in international projects and published over one hundred scientific articles and ten books on these subjects. She is vice president of the International Observatory on Violence in Schools. She was a member manager of the National Evaluation and Foresight Science of Spain ANEP; National Assessment of Academic Quality -ANECA- and currently Spain is the European Reseach Council ERC- Commission SH4 and SH2.

Chris Fife-Schaw is a Professor of Psychology and former Head of Psychology at the University of Surrey. His research has included studies of young people’s responses to AIDS/HIV, young people’s orientations towards new technologies, public responses to genetic technologies, risk perception, perceptions of food-related hazards and communication of water-borne hazards. Harriet Tenenbaum is a Reader in Psychology at the University of Surrey. She is interested in how children learn from everyday interactions with others, such as conversations with parents and peers. She has two main lines of research. First, she is interested in how children learn about everyday science and emotion understanding. Much of this work has focused on how child gender influences conversations about science and emotion. Second, her work focuses on children’s reasoning about social issues, such as children’s rights (and especially rights for others) and rejection based on social groups. She is the Editor of the British Journal of Educational Psychology.
